A Pool Table and Dining Table All-in-1

We live in an apartment/condo/townhouse with a dining room and we want a pool table. Is there a pool table that does double duty as a dining room table as well?

Yes there is and we can help! Calais Spas & Billiards, Nanaimo, Vancouver Island offers a full line of pool tables that convert to dining room tables! This line of tables is called the La Condo series, and is available in a variety of styles, finishes and sizes.

What do you do with the dining table top when the pool table is being used?

The dining table top comes apart in at least 3 pieces (depending on the size of the pool table) and can be stored almost anywhere. Lean the pieces up against a wall, stack them and lay them on the floor underneath the table or slide them under a couch or a bed.

I don’t want a bunch of equipment laying around when the pool table isn’t in use. Where can you store the pool cues, balls and racks when the table is being used as a dining room?

This line has a variety of extra furniture pieces that accompany the table that make storage of equipment a breeze! Buffets, side boards, and benches are available in a variety of colors and finishes to suit every table in the line.

Is this table a lot more expensive than a regular pool table?

The La Condo tables and matching furniture are priced comparatively to any high end dining room suite, with the added benefit of serving as both a dining table and pool table.

Why can’t you buy the dining top to use on any pool table?

There are a number of reasons why this is not possible. First, most pool tables have leather pockets that bolt into the rails to form the corners of the pool table. These leather pockets prevent the dining top from sitting flush with the top of the table. It also gives the table an awkward appearance as the pockets stand out against the wood. Another reason this doesn’t work is that the apron around the lower frame of the pool table usually sits below the level of your knees when seated which makes it impossible to pull the chair in close to the table and makes seating very uncomfortable.
